Job DescriptionSenior/Staff Ultrasound System Engineer - Medical Device (San Diego, CA)We are seeking an Ultrasound System Engineer to engage in the design/development of our next generation Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS) products that are helping to save lives around the world.
Your role:- Design, develop, integrate, and validate ultrasound imaging systems and subsystems.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, mechanical, and clinical engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Develop and evaluate system architectures, signal processing performance, and overall system functionality.
- Perform system-level testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Help translate marketing/customer requirements into engineering specifications.
- quality, and regulatory teams to balance security, safety, usability, and time-to-market.
You're the right fit if: - You have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an individual contributor in engineering, with a focus on developing complex systems.
- You bring a strong understanding of systems engineering principles, integration, and testing, along with experience developing medical devices across the full product lifecycle; bonus: experience with ultrasound imaging systems or ultrasound-based medical devices.
- You hold a BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- You demonstrate strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and contribute to high-quality, compliant product development in regulated environments.
- You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
How we work together:We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company's main facilities, generally at the customers' or suppliers' locations.

Philips Transparency Details: The pay range for this position in CA is $114,000 - $182,000.
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
