The SAP ABAP Technical Lead is responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and supporting enterprise SAP solutions across a complex business and technology landscape. This role will work across SAP Finance, Funds Management, Grants Management, Materials Management, Order-to-Cash, Project Systems, Human Resources, Payroll, and Flexible Real Estate Management, ensuring reliable end-to-end integration and high-quality application delivery.
In this role, you will lead advanced SAP ABAP and SAP S/4HANA development initiatives, leveraging ABAP on HANA, Object-Oriented ABAP, RAP, CDS Views, AMDP, Open SQL optimization, and full RICEFW development. You will be responsible for solution design, enterprise architecture, application integration, performance tuning, production support, and the delivery of scalable SAP applications across ECC and S/4HANA environments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, or a related field.
- Must have six (6) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as a Software Engineer or any occupation related to software development.
- AP technical certification in the product being supported
- Certification in at least one formal development methodology
- Knowledge of change and release management processes
- Ability to estimate reliably the time, effort, dependencies, and resources required to complete a development task
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in client-focused service delivery environments
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE- 6 years of SAP Developer experience with end-to-end integration across FM (Funds Management), GM Grants Management), SAP FI/CO, MM (Materials Management), O2C (Order to Cash), PS (Project Systems), and HR (Human Resources), Payroll, REFX (Flexible Real Estate Management).
- 6 years in SAP enterprise architecture, algorithms, data structures, design patterns, frontend/backend/cloud development, Mobilizer, and Masterworks.
- 6 years of advanced SAP ABAP development experience including ABAP on HANA, Object-Oriented ABAP, ABAP RESTful Application Program Model (RAP), CDS Views, AMDP/Open SQL optimization, and full RICEFW development.
- 6 years of SAP ECC Finance and SAP S/4HANA experience including enterprise architecture, solution design, SAP landscape management, data lineage, and internal controls
- 6 years of SAP production support experience including troubleshooting, performance tuning, optimization, and critical issue resolution.
- 5 years of SAP HANA and SAP integration architecture experience including SAP BTP, PI/PO, Web Services, Web Dynpro, SAP Workflow, SAP Web UI, and enterprise integration frameworks.
- 5 years of experience working in Agile, Scrum, and SAFe environments with full SDLC execution responsibility.
- Experience leading at least 2 full lifecycle SAP Finance implementations including requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, cutover, transport management, and post-go-live support.
- SAP Certification required: SAP Certified Development Specialist ABAP
