Description:
We are looking for an Oracle SQL Server Database Engineer to provide database platform-level support for oracle and MS SQL Server environments.
Job Responsibilities:
· Provide database platform-level support for MS SQL Server environments.
· Manage databases at the infrastructure level, including patching, upgrades, and participation in DR exercises.
· Monitor and troubleshoot SQL Server systems, quickly resolving infrastructure and production issues.
· Establish and maintain high availability and disaster recovery (HADR) solutions using technologies such as Always on and Mirroring.
· Coordinate and resolve database access requests, incidents, and compliance remediation tasks.
· Analyze and report on database operational performance against key metrics.
· Implement and maintain SQL maintenance jobs and backup/recovery strategies.
· Participate in database cloud migration (Azure PaaS & IaaS) initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience:
· 8+ years of experience with Oracle, SQL Server Technologies.
· 3+ years working specifically with MS SQL Server 2016 and 2017.
· Solid experience in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimizing database systems.
· Experience supporting databases in production and non-production environments, including resolving deadlocks, blocking, memory, CPU, and I/O issues.
· Proficient in configuring and maintaining HADR solutions (Always On, Mirroring, Replication).
· Hands-on experience with Azure cloud migration for databases.
· Strong analytical and incident management skills in complex SQL Server environments.
