We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support the ongoing modernization of a complex, cloud-based enterprise platform. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working on large-scale systems-balancing new development with stabilization of existing applications.
You'll collaborate closely with architecture and engineering teams to implement scalable solutions, improve system design, and help drive consistency across services in a distributed environment.
What You'll Be Doing- Design and develop microservices using Java (Spring Boot) and TypeScript
- Build and support RESTful APIs and event-driven integrations
- Contribute to front-end updates, including Angular upgrades and modular UI architecture
- Develop solutions in AWS using containerization, serverless compute, and managed data services
- Identify and reduce technical debt, including framework and dependency upgrades
- Implement automated testing to improve reliability and release confidence
- Partner with DevOps, security, and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions
Required Qualifications- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS (containers, serverless, or infrastructure as code)
- Expertise in Java/Spring Boot and API development
- Experience with Angular (modern versions)
- Background in microservices architecture and system modernization
- Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and observability tools
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
Engineering Environment- Modern microservices architecture with ongoing legacy modernization
- Cloud-native development in AWS
- Strong emphasis on scalability, observability, and maintainability
- Collaborative, fast-moving engineering teams
Nice to Have- Experience with micro-frontend architectures
- Exposure to developer productivity or platform tools
- Strong experience with test automation frameworks
