We're hiring a Mobile Engineer, React Native, full-time in San Francisco, CA with a hybrid schedule of two days onsite to join a growing consumer edtech company building game-based learning apps for kids. The product is already highly ranked across iOS and Android, reaching a large user base, and the team continues to scale using React Native, TypeScript, and AWS.
This is a hands-on role working on a widely used mobile app. You'll take ownership of core areas of the codebase, ship features across both iOS and Android, and help improve performance and overall user experience. The team is lean and product-focused, so there is strong ownership, quick iteration, and close collaboration with product and design. It's a solid fit for someone who enjoys building polished consumer apps and wants meaningful input on how the product evolves.
Required Skills & Experience - 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Experience building and shipping mobile applications
- Strong React Native and TypeScript experience
- Production application experience
- Ability to own features end-to-end
Desired Skills & Experience - Background in consumer apps, games, or edtech
- Experience with performance optimization
- Exposure to AWS or backend systems
- Experience in small, fast-paced teams
What You Will Be Doing - Own key parts of the mobile app
