Tableau Data Analyst @ Sunrise, FL (Permanent) - 12209

The Senior Data Analyst will be responsible for using their knowledge of data processing, data visualization , and business analysis strategies to provide insights to senior management and business leaders in support of decision-making efforts. Areas of focus include data modeling, transactional / dimensional analysis, and Business Intelligence & Analytics life-cycle management. Their duties include collaborating with other data professionals to profile the data and extract data figures, creating dashboards and visual stories based on their findings, as well as monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive data-driven decisions. This role will lead requirements and/or data solution sessions with business subject-matter experts to analyze, validate, and utilize data for consumption by business stakeholders. Additionally, the Sr. Data Analyst enjoys data wrangling, understanding data pipelines business logic, and building solutions for data collection and analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business SMEs, analysts, and data engineers to design and document analytics dashboards, alerts, and reports.
• Develop, maintain, and manage advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards, and BI solutions.
• Expert in designing, developing, and maintaining complex Tableau dashboards and reports to facilitate data-driven insights and analytics.
• Ability to query and display large data sets while maximizing the performance of the analytics solutions.
• Gathering and normalizing data from multiple data sources and creating Tableau datasets following industry best practices.
• Expert designing and developing BI solutions by using advanced techniques such as interactive filters, parameters, data blending, and calculations. - Lead requirements and/or data solution sessions with subject matter experts to analyze, validate, and utilize data for consumption by business stakeholders.
• Use advanced SQL skills (Window functions, CTEs, etc.) to provide data extracts as needed, as well as find usable information in transactional and dimensional data sources. Implement best practices for improving dashboard and reporting performance.
• Experience developing wireframes and mock-ups for dashboards and reports as part of a holistic BI Storytelling framework.
• Perform data analysis, workflow analysis, create current/future state data flow diagrams and help the team assess the business impact of any changes or enhancements.
• Hand-on experience with administering Tableau Cloud, including user management, access controls, and security settings.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a data analyst, business data analyst, or business intelligence business analyst (BIBA).
• Knowledge of data profiling, data validation, and data cleaning techniques.
• 5+ years of SQL experience, specifically to write complex, highly optimized queries across disparate data sets.
• 5+ years of experience with data management solutions (Databricks - preferred, Snowflake, etc.)
• 5+ years of Tableau cloud administration and dashboard developer.
• 3+ years of Data Modeling and Database Design of schema for read-and-write performance.
• 3+ years designing and creating Tableau data sources and semantic layers.
