Position: Senior Data Analyst
Job Location: 1 Customer Drive, Bentonville, AR 72716
Duties: Data Source Identification: Supports understanding of priority order of requirements/service level agreements; identifies suitable source for data that is fit for purpose; performs initial data quality checks on extracted data. Data Strategy: Understands/articulates/applies principles of defined strategy to routine business problems involving a single function. Understanding Business Context: Provides recommendations to business stakeholders to solve complex business issues; develops business cases for projects with a projected return on investment/cost savings; translates business requirements into projects, activities, & tasks and aligns to overall business strategy & develops domain specific artifact; serves as interpreter/conduit to connect business needs w/tangible solutions/results; identifies/recommends business insights. Tech. Problem Formulation: Translates/co-owns business problems within one's discipline to data related/mathematical solutions; identifies appropriate methods/tools to be leveraged; shares use cases & gives examples to demonstrate how method would solve business problem. Data Visualization: Generates graphical representations of data & model outcomes; designs data representation for multiple data sets; works w/User Experience designers & User Interface engineers to build front end applications; presents to/influences team & business audience using data visualization frameworks & conveys clear messages through business and stakeholder understanding; guides/mentors junior associates on story types, structures, & techniques based on context. Data Quality Management: Promotes/educates on data quality awareness; profiles/analyzes/assesses data quality; tests/validates data quality requirements; measures/monitors data quality; delivers against data quality service level agreements; manages operational Data Quality Management procedures; manages data quality issues & leads data cleansing activities to remove data quality defects, improve data quality, and eliminate unused data; determines user accessibility & removes or restricts user access; interprets company/regulatory policies on data; educates on data governance processes, practices, policies, & guidelines. Exploratory Data Analysis: Collects/tabulates data and evaluates results to determine accuracy, validity, & applicability; supports identification and application of statistical techniques; applies suitable technique under direction from leadership; assists in planning/design/implementation of exploratory data analysis research projects; understands existing statistical models and identifies and recommends statistical models based on hypothesis; uses advanced Knowledge in Data Discovery tools to write queries and analyze data to identify patterns, trends, outliers, and correlations; conducts statistical analysis and builds basic statistical models using relevant packages/software suites.
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or the equivalent in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field plus 2 years of experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related experience.
Skills Required: Must have experience with: Leveraging SQL, ETL tools, Google Big Query, Tableau Prep, R, and Python to preprocess, transform, and analyze datasets; Designing and developing data visualizations using Power BI and Tableau; Utilizing advanced data analytics to support business strategy by designing and implementing technical solutions that optimize claims outcomes and improve organizational performance, using tools such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, and Python; Building end-to-end automated reporting solutions using Python, SQL, Jupyter Notebooks, and workflow schedulers (Apache Airflow), reducing manual efforts and improving efficiency; Designing and managing cloud-based data warehouse architectures, creating ad hoc tables and enhancing data pipelines to support real-time business intelligence and operational decision-making; Developing and enhancing complex SQL queries to process large-scale datasets in cloud data warehouse environments; Monitoring Data or Reporting pipelines and fixing production issues during failures; Utilizing SQL and Relational Database Management systems; Developing and deploying machine learning models to identify key trends, patterns, and anomalies in business data, applying statistical methodologies; Creating data visualizations for complex datasets using Python, Jupyter notebooks, R libraries, Tableau Prep, Tableau, and Power BI. Rate of pay: $94,557 - $155,000/year
