a long-term Production Support Engineer to help support and maintain business-critical applications in a production environment. This role requires someone comfortable navigating multiple technologies, collaborating closely with teammates, and continuously learning new systems. Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset are essential.
Responsibilities
? Provide production support for applications across multiple technologies
? Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve application and batch processing issues
? Support evening and weekend batch operations as part of a rotating on-call schedule
? Collaborate with a team of engineers to ensure system stability and performance
? Document issues, resolutions, and support processes
? Learn and adapt to new tools, systems, and technologies as needed
Required Qualifications
? Strong experience with Java-based applications and some knowledge of Mainframe/Cobol technologies
? Excellent communication and interpersonal (soft) skills
? Willingness to learn and dive into unfamiliar systems
? Ability to work in a production support/on-call environment
Team & Work Environment
? Team of 4 engineers with rotating on-call responsibilities
? Occasional evening and weekend work to support batch processing
