Role Summary
As the Senior HRIT Technical Lead, you will guide technical design, integrations, and architecture decisions across a suite of key HR technology platforms. You will work closely with enterprise architects, subject?matter experts, and global development teams to ensure HR applications align with enterprise standards, modern technology practices, and long?term system roadmaps.
This role blends hands?on operational oversight with solution design, documentation, and technical leadership. You will lead cross?functional initiatives, support complex integrations, oversee regional project execution, and ensure systems remain secure, compliant, and scalable across the NAFTA region.
Key Responsibilities
IT Operations & Project Management (50%)
- Oversee operational support and integrations for HRIT systems across multiple regions and time zones.
- Coordinate on?site and offshore teams, managing issue escalation, risk identification, and resolution.
- Lead application rollouts, integrations, and harmonization efforts for assigned HR applications within the NAFTA region.
- Contribute to global architectural initiatives such as cloud migration, API modernization, and application consolidation.
- Prepare project proposals, evaluate emerging technologies, and manage proof?of?concept initiatives.
- Manage medium?to?large HR technology projects, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture direction.
Solution Design & Documentation (30%)
- Research systems, products, and integration approaches to keep HR technologies modern and maintainable.
- Partner with architects and technical working groups to align on technology roadmaps and system advancement.
- Prepare process flows, technical diagrams, system capability documents, and architecture artifacts.
- Maintain accurate, up?to?date documentation for all new and existing system functionality.
- Adhere to security, compliance, and data governance requirements for all HR applications.
Technical Leadership (20%)
- Provide leadership and guidance to development teams throughout analysis, development, testing, and deployment.
- Present technical updates to governance boards and support solution decisions.
- Support integration design, system upgrades, and the evaluation of new tools and technologies.
- Collaborate with vendors on architecture, product capabilities, and implementation strategies.
- Influence and support long?term HRIT technology roadmaps and the evolution of application architecture.
Key Requirements
- 5–7+ years of experience in HR information systems, application development, testing, integration, and technical operations.
- Hands?on experience with HRIS platforms, application integration, API development, and information security.
- Knowledge of Workday HCM or similar enterprise HR systems strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, API frameworks, cloud technologies, and system integration patterns.
- Experience with both traditional project management and Agile methodologies, including leading virtual teams.
- Familiarity with IT security protocols, compliance requirements, and data governance.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict?resolution skills.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and strategic thinking abilities with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables and operate effectively in high?pressure environments.
- Solid understanding of HR business processes and vendor/budget management practices.
