Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead complex infrastructure technology projects and coordinate cross-functional teams in a dynamic, enterprise IT environment. The ideal candidate will have strong project management expertise, experience delivering infrastructure initiatives, and the ability to manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and stakeholder expectations.

The successful candidate will have experience with Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid project management methodologies and be familiar with infrastructure technologies, DevOps tools, and enterprise project management platforms.

Local candidates in the Chicago, IL area are required. This is a hybrid position.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex IT infrastructure projects from planning through execution and delivery.
• Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, milestones, and resource requirements.
• Manage project scope, timelines, costs, dependencies, risks, and issues.
• Establish project governance, roles, responsibilities, and delivery standards.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, technical resources, and business stakeholders.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring deadlines and objectives are met.
• Monitor project performance and communicate project status, risks, and issues to leadership.
• Ensure compliance with corporate project management standards, IT controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify project roadblocks and develop mitigation and recovery plans.
• Facilitate meetings, working sessions, and stakeholder communications.
• Use project management tools to track tasks, dependencies, deliverables, and progress.
• Partner with stakeholders to allocate resources and drive successful project outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• PMP or PMI-ACP certification required.
• 7+ years of IT project management experience.
• Proven experience leading complex infrastructure technology projects.
• Strong knowledge of Waterfall, Agile, and/or Hybrid methodologies.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
• General understanding of servers, storage, networking, databases, and middleware.
• Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, or Clarity.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.
• Experience with project governance, risk management, budget tracking, and stakeholder management.
• Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in financial services or another highly regulated industry.
• Experience managing application development projects.
• Previous experience leading network infrastructure projects.
• Experience working in large, complex enterprise environments.
