Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking a Supplier Engineering Co-Op to join our team located in Danvers.

Requirements
  • Support product development projects and act as a liaison for activities involving new supplier requirements.
  • Assist in outsourcing and transferring sub-assemblies from internal production to external suppliers.
  • Contribute to the "Quality at the Source" program, improving supplier yields and qualifying inspection processes at supplier facilities.
  • Drive capacity expansion projects to meet manufacturing and business needs.
  • Proactively manage component obsolescence.
  • Lead second-source initiatives; monitor supplier and component risks and define mitigation plans.
  • Support the transfer of product improvements into production using Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
  • Analyze defective components identified in Incoming Inspection and collaborate with vendors to resolve issues.
  • Oversee supplier process validation activities using a risk-based approach.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain.

Qualifications

Education
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's (Junior/Senior) or Master's degree in Plastics/Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or Supply Chain

Required Skills
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, supplier management, and planning.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and execute tasks in a timely manner.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.

Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with project management concepts and the ability to prioritize tasks.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$23.00/hr to $51.50/hr

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
The expected pay range for this position is between $23.00 per hour and $51.50 per hour but will be based on candidate's program year, discipline, degree and/or experience. Co-Ops/Interns are eligible to participate in Company sponsored employee medical benefits in accordance with the terms of the plan. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible for the following sick time benefits: up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington, up to 56 hours per calendar year. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension).
