Role Summary:
Workday Lead / Senior Consultant to lead the Oracle-to-Workday Finance transformation for a team of ~50 members. This role will be responsible for technical leadership, decision-making, and mentoring internal resources during the transition.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end Workday Finance implementation and transition
Act as the primary Workday SME for the Finance organization
Drive solution design, configuration strategy, and best practices
Partner with leadership to evaluate build vs. train vs. contractor strategy
Estimate effort, timelines, and market rates for Workday resources
Oversee report development, integrations, and data accuracy
Guide and train internal team members on Workday functionality
Provide governance, risk management, and issue resolution
Ensure successful go-live and stabilization
Required Skills / Must Have:
Strong hands-on experience with Workday Finance
Proven experience leading Workday implementations or migrations
Deep understanding of Workday configuration, security, and reporting
Ability to guide business leaders on cost, resourcing, and training decisions
Excellent stakeholder communication and leadership skills
Nice to Have:
Advanced Workday Reporting expertise
Knowledge of SQL and Python for analytics or automation
Experience managing contractors or vendor teams
Prior experience mentoring teams with no Workday background
