Senior Inventory Accounting Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a remote Senior Inventory Accounting Analyst to join their accounting team.

Summary:
This role is responsible for supporting month-end close activities, inventory accounting, financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, internal controls, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting expertise, analytical capabilities, and experience partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and inventory-related accounting processes.

Responsibilities:
* Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including inventory-related accounting processes
* Prepare and post journal entries and maintain supporting documentation
* Perform timely and accurate balance sheet account reconciliations, including inventory and related accounts
* Assist with financial reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies
* Participate in internal control and SOX compliance activities, including testing, certifications, and audit support
* Partner with internal and external auditors by providing required documentation and analysis
* Analyze inventory transactions, variances, reserves, and related financial data
* Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and operational efficiencies
* Prepare ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to support business objectives
* Collaborate with accounting, finance, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure accurate inventory valuation and reporting

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
* 5+ years of progressive accounting, inventory accounting, or finance experience
* Experience with inventory accounting, inventory controls, and variance analysis
* Experience supporting SOX compliance, internal controls, and audit activities
* Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, financial reporting, and account reconciliations
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial/accounting systems
* Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
