Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Windchill PLM Data Migration Lead to manage end-to-end PLM data migration projects in a PTC Windchill environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Windchill data models, migration utilities, data extraction and loading, source-to-target mapping, data transformation, and validation.

The role involves collaborating with business users, functional analysts, IT infrastructure teams, and technical migration teams to ensure accurate, reliable, and efficient migration of PLM data. Experience in the medical device industry is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data migration projects within the PTC Windchill PLM environment.

• Define migration roadmaps, including scope, timelines, risks, dependencies, and migration strategies.

• Manage data extraction, transformation, loading, and validation for PLM data.

• Analyze source and target data models and define source-to-target mapping rules for parts, Bills of Materials (BOMs), CAD documents, change notices, and related objects.

• Use Windchill Bulk Migrator (WBM), custom Java APIs, SQL scripts, and other migration utilities to execute data migration activities.

• Identify and resolve data quality issues, duplicate records, broken relationships, and data inconsistencies.

• Perform pre-load and post-load validation, reconciliation, and data integrity checks.

• Support Windchill site consolidation projects and associated migration processes.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional analysts, IT infrastructure teams, and migration teams to resolve technical and functional issues.

• Support migration from non-PLM systems into Windchill.

• Maintain migration documentation, mapping specifications, validation reports, and issue logs.

• Follow established data migration methodologies, quality standards, and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience in PLM data migration or related technical roles.

• Strong hands-on experience with PTC Windchill data migration.

• Solid understanding of the Windchill PLM data model, workflows, configurations, and object relationships.

• Experience with Windchill migration tools and utilities, particularly Windchill Bulk Migrator (WBM).

• Proficiency in Java APIs, SQL scripts, or similar technical approaches for data extraction, transformation, and loading.

• Strong knowledge of source-to-target mapping, data transformation, data validation, and reconciliation.

• Experience migrating PLM objects, including parts, BOMs, CAD documents, and change notices.

• Experience identifying and resolving data quality issues, duplicate records, and relationship breaks.

• Understanding of data migration strategies, methodologies, and best practices.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the medical device or another regulated industry.

• Experience migrating data from non-PLM systems into PTC Windchill.

• Experience with Windchill site consolidation tools and processes.

• Experience with scripting and automation for migration activities.

• Relevant PLM, Windchill, or data management certifications.

• Experience working with cross-functional business and technical teams in complex enterprise environments.
