The Lending Systems Analyst serves as the business-side technical project manager and platform steward for assigned financial services lending applications supporting consumer loan products. This role partners closely with Product, Operations, IT, Legal & Compliance, Customer Care, and external platform vendors to support implementation, configuration, testing, launch readiness, and ongoing use of lending systems.
The role promotes communication, coordination, and execution across departments and user groups to maximize efficient and effective use of lending technology in support of business goals, client experience, operational readiness, and regulatory expectations. This position is responsible for helping ensure the loan platform can support accurate loan booking, compliant product setup, servicing workflows, payment processing, collections capabilities, reporting, user access, testing, and future consumer lending growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the business-side technical project manager and platform steward for assigned lending systems, including implementation milestones, launch readiness, product configuration, workflow setup, system access, and release coordination.
- Support the configuration and maintenance of consumer loan products, including loan terms, APR and rate logic, payment rules, eligibility parameters, servicing rules, and operational guardrails.
- Creates and manages reports for financial services including but not limited to tracking service level agreements and other key performance indicators (KPI’s)
- Partner with Product, Operations, IT, Legal, Compliance, and Customer Care teams to gather requirements, document business processes, and translate operational needs into lending system capabilities.
- Coordinate with external lending platform vendors to manage open questions, decisions, dependencies, configuration needs, defects, enhancements, testing support, and implementation follow-ups.
- Manage user access, roles, permissions, and platform support processes to ensure users have appropriate access based on job responsibilities, security expectations, and compliance requirements.
- Lead or support system testing, including test case development, user acceptance testing, regression testing, release validation, and defect triage.
- Troubleshoot platform issues, research root causes, coordinate resolution across internal teams and vendors, and communicate impacts, workarounds, and status updates to stakeholders.
- Maintain system documentation, configuration decisions, change history, process flows, support guides, and training materials for business users.
- Support servicing and operational workflows such as payments, payoff quotes, account status updates, payment adjustments, hardship or modification processes, collections, settlements, charge-offs, statements, notices, and reporting.
- Help ensure lending systems support audit trails, compliance controls, data visibility, reporting needs, and operational oversight for consumer loan products.
- Monitor platform performance, support trends, user feedback, and operational pain points to identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, platform enhancements, and scalable support.
- Support launch readiness and post-launch stabilization activities for new lending products, platform enhancements, vendor releases, and operational workflow changes.
Requirements Experience supporting lending, loan servicing, banking, financial services, payments, collections, or similar enterprise technology platforms.
- Strong understanding of business systems administration, user access management, workflow configuration, testing, issue resolution, and operational support.
- Ability to gather business requirements, document processes, translate needs into system configuration or enhancement requests, and support cross-functional decision-making.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research issues, identify root causes, evaluate options, and recommend practical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with business users, technical teams, leadership, and external vendors.
- Experience participating in system implementations, vendor platform onboarding, UAT, release management, production support, or technical project management activities. Desired: In-depth knowledge of loan servicing, including collections, credit bureau reporting, payment processing, loan modifications, and borrower support workflows.
- Experience with configurable lending or banking platforms such as Temenos, FIS, or similar SaaS-based financial services platforms.
- Knowledge of consumer lending compliance considerations such as MLA, SCRA, credit reporting, disputes, complaints, or collections.
