Summary

We are looking for Facilities Manager II for our client in Watertown, MA
Job Title: Facilities Manager II
Job Location: Watertown, MA
Job Type: Contract
Job Overview:
Pay Range: $30.43hr - $34.43hr

Responsibilities:

  • Manage overall facility operations and services within the site.
  • Implement best practices to optimize and reduce operational costs.
  • Coordinate intra-office moves in collaboration with project teams.
  • Evaluate and compare vendor costs to ensure cost-effective procurement of services and goods.
  • Oversee building maintenance by coordinating with external service providers.
  • Track facility upkeep, including short-term and long-term maintenance and improvement plans.
  • Collaborate with building management to ensure proper maintenance of surrounding grounds and landscaping.
  • Obtain quotes, negotiate agreements, and manage vendor and supplier contracts.
  • Verify invoices and ensure alignment with contract pricing before processing payments.
  • Ensure effective utilization and productivity of facility maintenance staff.
  • Partner with security teams to ensure systems remain active and responsive to business needs.
  • Respond to emergency situations, including HVAC failures, alarms, and system breakdowns.
  • Manage vendor and contractor relationships to ensure service quality and compliance.
  • Utilize operational systems such as BMS and CMMS (e.g., Blue Mountain) for facility management.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Facilities Management or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3 5 years of relevant experience, including supervisory experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Ability to guide, motivate, and develop team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Facilities Management or related professional programs.
  • Experience working with facility management systems such as BMS or CMMS.
  • Experience managing vendor contracts and building operations in corporate environments.
