Job Title: Project Manager (Onsite)

Location: Washington, DC

Duration: up to 5 Years

 

Job Description:

The Project Manager will provide overall management and coordination of the Client Professional Services effort and serve as the primary point of coordination for contract execution. The individual will be responsible for ensuring that personnel, technical activities, transition activities, deliverables, quality, communications, risks, and performance are effectively managed throughout the period of performance.

 

The Project Manager should have demonstrated experience managing Federal IT services contracts of comparable size, scope, and complexity, preferably involving Identity and Access Management, cybersecurity, enterprise IT operations, technical support, or related services.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Program/Project Management:

  • Manage day-to-day execution of the Client Support effort.
  • Establish and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate activities across Project Management, Tier 2 Helpdesk, and SailPoint/IAM functions.
  • Monitor performance against contractual requirements and established performance objectives.
  • Identify dependencies, risks, issues, and resource constraints.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions when required.
  • Maintain appropriate project documentation and status information.

 

Government Coordination:

  • Serve as the primary contractor interface for day-to-day project coordination.
  • Coordinate with Government stakeholders, COR/Contracting Officer representatives, and technical personnel.
  • Conduct status meetings and provide accurate project status information.
  • Communicate risks, issues, dependencies, and recommended actions in a timely manner.
  • Support Government decision-making with clear technical and management information.

 

Transition-In:

  • Lead transition planning and execution.
  • Coordinate knowledge transfer from the incumbent or Government team.
  • Establish transition milestones and readiness criteria.
  • Ensure required personnel, access, tools, documentation, and processes are available before assuming operational responsibilities.
  • Identify transition risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure continuity of services during transition.

 

Staffing & Personnel Management:

  • Manage staffing requirements and resource allocation.
  • Monitor personnel performance and utilization.
  • Support recruitment and replacement activities.
  • Maintain continuity of critical personnel.
  • Coordinate onboarding and knowledge transfer.
  • Ensure staff possess the required skills and security/access qualifications.

 

Risk & Quality Management:

  • Establish project risk and issue management processes.
  • Monitor technical, staffing, schedule, operational, and transition risks.
  • Coordinate quality reviews of deliverables and services.
  • Track corrective and preventive actions.
  • Promote continuous improvement across the project.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor''s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 10+ years of IT project/program management experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing Federal Government IT services.
  • Experience managing projects involving IAM, cybersecurity, enterprise IT, technical support, or similar services.
  • Experience managing transition-in activities.
  • Experience managing technical teams and multiple functional workstreams.
  • Strong stakeholder and Government communication skills.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.
  • Federal contract management experience preferred.
  • Ability to meet applicable the client security/background requirements.
