Summary

Description:
On-site in Dallas, TX

Our client seeks a hands-on senior Oracle Fusion GL Security and Technical Consultant to stabilize the Oracle security model, correct role and user-assignment issues, resolve production and hypercare tickets, and help establish sustainable technical ownership after go-live. The consultant will operate as an embedded technical operator working directly with Finance and Oracle business leads, executing prioritized work, and advocating for sound technical, architectural, security, and licensing practices. The initial focus will be Oracle Fusion GL security remediation, followed by broader technical administration, integration troubleshooting, quarterly update support, and steady-state Oracle ownership.

This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $100.00 to $70.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Review the current Oracle Fusion GL security matrix, role hierarchy, and user assignments to identify broken, excessive, inconsistent, or misaligned access.
  • Perform remediation in Oracle Security Console, including creating, updating, testing, and assigning job roles, duty roles, data roles, and custom roles.
  • Reconcile user populations and role assignments to Oracle license entitlements and Ordering Document terms with focus on expense users and other higher-cost categories.
  • Triage security defects, determine root cause, implement fixes, test outcomes, and align users to the correct access model.
  • Execute day-to-day priorities from Finance and Oracle business leads and propose practical alternatives when a better technical approach exists.
  • Resolve Oracle Fusion GL production and hypercare tickets involving security, workflow, configuration, reporting, integrations, and user provisioning.
  • Troubleshoot integrations and data movement using OIC, APIs, FBDI, ADFdi, and related Oracle tools.
  • Trace recurring defects to their source across Oracle, upstream systems, and integration layers rather than relying on manual corrections.
  • Build and maintain technical documentation, including the security-role catalog, user-to-license mapping, configuration records, integration inventory, regression scripts, runbooks, and ticket-resolution procedures.
  • Support Oracle quarterly update review, regression testing, deployment readiness, and communication after initial stabilization.
  • Coordinate with the implementation partner, AMS provider, Finance, IT, HR, and other teams while representing our client's interests and maintaining independent technical judgment.
  • Help transition Oracle support from hypercare to a sustainable client-owned operating model.

Experience Requirements:
  • Typically 6+ years of hands-on Oracle Fusion GL Cloud Applications experience with recent Oracle Fusion GL ERP Financials and Security work.
  • Deep knowledge of Oracle Security Console, RBAC, job roles, duty roles, data roles, role hierarchies, user provisioning, and access troubleshooting.
  • Proven experience cleaning up or redesigning a production Oracle Fusion GL security model after go-live.
  • Understanding of Oracle licensing, user classifications, role-to-license implications, and Ordering Document entitlements.
  • Hands-on technical skills across configuration, workflow troubleshooting, reporting, integrations, and production support.
  • Experience troubleshooting Oracle integrations and technical processes using OIC, APIs, FBDI, ADFdi, BIP, BPM, or similar tools.
  • Experience supporting at least two Oracle Fusion GL implementations, go-lives, or post-go-live stabilization efforts.
  • Ability to diagnose recurring issues across configuration, integration, source data, and user setup.
  • Comfortable working as an embedded technical operator under direct business priorities.
  • Ability to explain technical concerns, recommend better approaches, and move quickly into execution.
  • Strong documentation discipline to leave behind a supportable role model, runbook, and operating process.
  • Preferred: Experience with Expenses, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Projects, EPM, or related Financials.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting Dayforce, payroll, HR, or other upstream integrations into Oracle Fusion GL.
  • Preferred: Experience with Oracle Guided Learning or similar in-application guidance tools.
  • Preferred: Experience in commercial real estate, property management, financial services, or decentralized environments.
  • Preferred: Oracle Cloud certification in ERP, Financials, Security, Integration, or related area.
