Position: Sr. Oracle/SQL/OCI DBA

Duration: Contract to Hire

Location:100% Remote

1. Database Administrator (Oracle + SQL blend)

We are looking for someone to truly own database operations across the enterprise, ensuring performance, stability, and a clear forward roadmap. This person would partner closely with application engineers (deployments, backups, etc.) while ultimately being accountable for the health and reliability of our database ecosystem.

This is a blended role:

Oracle (Fusion/ERP): We’ve made good progress stabilizing our ATP environment with a contract Oracle DBA. However, the workload alone doesn’t justify a full-time Oracle specialist. With the right hybrid skillset, I can restructure this into a more sustainable, team-oriented support model—which we currently lack from an employee standpoint.
SQL (on-prem + cloud): Our SQL environment supports several critical operational systems and was recently modernized (SQL 2022). While we’ve relied heavily on contract support, ownership is currently fragmented. I’d like to establish a clear “owner” model here. Scott has been a strong partner, but availability is inconsistent, and he doesn’t cover Oracle or cloud.
Broader contribution: If capacity allows, I’d value someone who can lean in across the team—proactively identifying opportunities to improve (“1% better”) and helping elevate overall engineering maturity.
Sustainability: This role should ensure strong daytime coverage while helping us build a support model that avoids single points of failure and burnout.
