We are looking for Electro Mechanical Tech for our client in Plymouth, MN
Job Title: Electro Mechanical Tech
Job Location: Plymouth, MN
Job Type: Contract
Job Overview:
  • Support the assembly, integration, and testing of automated machinery, robotics, and custom equipment.
  • Perform mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, and pneumatic system installation based on engineering documentation.
  • Assist in system validation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful equipment build and deployment.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • Technical diploma or equivalent experience in automation, mechatronics, machine building, or industrial maintenance.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with automated machinery, robotics, or custom equipment builds.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical assembly, pneumatics, and basic electrical wiring.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and pneumatic diagrams.
  • Experience using hand tools, measurement tools, and shop equipment.
Responsibilities:
  • Assemble mechanical components, frames, fixtures, and robotic systems based on engineering drawings.
  • Perform precision alignment of mechanical parts including actuators, sensors, and tooling.
  • Install pneumatic systems including tubing, valves, and fittings.
  • Wire control panels, sensors, motors, and power systems following schematics.
  • Route cables and harnesses for organized and maintainable installations.
  • Support machine testing, dry runs, and system validation activities.
  • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and system issues.
  • Maintain build documentation, notes, and change updates.
  • Follow safety guidelines, standard procedures, and quality processes.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams.
  • Support installation, commissioning, and service activities as needed.
Should Have:
  • Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and robotic systems.
  • Understanding of industrial safety standards and practices.
  • Experience with automated machinery and custom equipment builds.
Skills:
  • Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Assembly and equipment build.
  • Pneumatics and wiring.
  • Problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Communication and teamwork.
Qualification And Education:
  • Technical diploma in automation, mechatronics, or related field required.
  • Equivalent hands-on experience considered.
