Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong experience in APIGEE API management, data integration, and cloud-based data engineering solutions. The candidate will design, develop, secure, and optimize APIs and data pipelines that support enterprise applications and analytics platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and manage APIs using Apigee.
• Build scalable data pipelines and integration frameworks.
• Develop API proxies, shared flows, policies, and security implementations.
• Integrate APIs with cloud platforms, databases, and enterprise systems.
• Monitor API performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize throughput/latency.
• Implement API governance, authentication, authorization, and security standards.
• Collaborate with application, analytics, and DevOps teams for end-to-end delivery.
• Automate deployments using CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of APIs and data services.
• Create technical documentation and mentor junior engineers.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Apigee (Edge/X/hybrid).
• Experience with REST APIs, Microservices, JSON, XML, and API lifecycle management.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle Database.
• Experience with cloud platforms like Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services, or Microsoft Azure.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT tools and data pipeline orchestration.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized deployments.
• Good understanding of API security standards (OAuth2, JWT, TLS, OpenID Connect).

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• APIGEE certification is preferred.
• Experience in Banking, Telecom, Healthcare, or Enterprise Integration domains.
• Exposure to Big Data technologies and streaming platforms is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Apache Kafka.
• Knowledge of Apache Spark and cloud-native architectures.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
