Senior Network and Firewall Engineer

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Network and Firewall Engineer to take charge of customers IT networks and cybersecurity infrastructures. The role involves a comprehensive scope of tasks including the configuration, management, and support of various network components such as switches, routers, access points, and firewalls. The successful candidate will set up complex network configurations including routing, VLANs, trunks, VPNs, and implementing robust security policies and profiles. Additionally, the role includes creating assessments, upgrading, and refining existing network designs and systems.

Job Description

• Assess, configure, manage, and maintain network devices including switches, routers, access points, and firewalls.

• Implement and manage network configurations, including routing, switching, and SD-WAN.

• Develop, analyze, and enforce security policies and profiles, ensuring a secure IT environment.

• Proactively engage with clients to share insights about their network setup, perform network assessments, and resolve any issues identified.

• Demonstrate proficiency in change management, effectively monitor network systems, respond to emergencies, and apply best practices.

• Uphold and implement company and industry policies and standards in all network and cybersecurity projects.

• Take on the responsibility of establishing, evolving, and maintaining networks and

• cybersecurity solutions.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in WAN/LAN/Wireless/Firewalls implementations.

• At least 5 years of experience working with Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Aruba technologies.

• 5+ years of experience in networking protocols including OSPF, BGP, STP, LACP, 802.1q.

• Solid understanding of modern network infrastructure and architecture concepts.

• Experience in deploying, managing, and troubleshooting extensive network infrastructures.

• Expected to maintain technical certifications with key product vendors.

• Willingness to undergo additional training as provided.

• Networking industry certifications such as NSE4, PCNSE, ACSP are desirable.

• Practical experience with SD-WAN, SASE, ZTNA considered as an asset.

• Experience and understanding of application layer, traffic capture and flows is preferred.
