Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP SD Functional Consultant to join our team in Detroit, MI. This is a full-time onsite role where the consultant will support business users, optimize sales and distribution processes, and work closely with cross-functional teams in a dynamic SAP environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong functional expertise in SAP Sales and Distribution (SD), experience supporting business operations, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective SAP solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support SAP SD functional activities, including configuration, enhancement, and production support.
Work with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements related to order-to-cash processes.
Configure and support key SAP SD components such as order management, pricing, billing, shipping, and delivery processing.
Provide functional design documentation and solution architecture for new enhancements and system improvements.
Support system testing, UAT coordination, and deployment activities.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to SAP SD processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including SAP MM, Finance, and Supply Chain.
Assist in process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives within the SAP environment.
Provide end-user support, training, and documentation when required.
Required Skills & Experience
6+ years of SAP SD functional experience.
Strong understanding of Order-to-Cash (OTC) business processes.
Hands-on experience with pricing configuration, billing, shipping, and delivery processing.
Experience working in full lifecycle SAP implementations or major enhancements.
Ability to translate business requirements into SAP functional specifications.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SAP S/4HANA environments.
Exposure to integration with SAP MM, FI, and logistics modules.
Prior experience working in manufacturing or automotive industry environments.
Experience supporting large enterprise SAP landscapes.
Additional Requirements
Must be able to work onsite in Detroit, MI 5 days per week.
Strong collaboration skills to work closely with business and IT teams.
