Summary

Title: API Security Developer

Job Type: 6-Month Contract

Location: Eagan, MN

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced API Security Developer to design, develop, and secure enterprise APIs and microservices.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with REST APIs, OAuth 2.0, Okta/Auth0, Java, Node.js, AWS, FHIR, and microservices.

Experience with Kong Konnect is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement API security solutions for REST APIs and microservices.
Support Okta to Auth0 migration, including authentication and authorization flows.
Implement OAuth 2.0, token-based authentication, RBAC, and API access controls.
Develop secure APIs and microservices using Java and/or Node.js.
Deploy and secure APIs in AWS cloud environments.
Work with FHIR APIs/data standards, preferably in healthcare environments.
Implement API security best practices, threat protection, and secure integration patterns.
Collaborate with application, cloud, and security teams on API architecture and controls.
Troubleshoot API authentication, authorization, and security issues.
Experience with Kong Konnect/API Gateway is highly desirable.
