Short DescriptionThe Lead Technologist performs essential duties in one or more sub-specialties of the Clinical Laboratory in a highly competent manner. The clinical subspecialities of interest for this Lead Tech position are Blood Bank and Stem Cell. In addition, he/she provides technical expertise to staff and others and acts as the Manager?s designee in performing delegated tasks. The Lead Tech collaborates with the manager in making decisions in compliance with existing policies, procedures, or instructions.
Experience Required3-5 years clinical laboratory experience preferred.
Education RequirementsHIGH SCHOOL OR GED
Baccalaureate degree in biology or chemistry with 3-5 years of clinical laboratory experience may qualify.
License/Certification RequirementsASCP (American Society of Clinical Pathologists) Registry
