Google Cloud Platform Administrator

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Charlotte, NC that is seeking a Google Cloud Platform Administrator.

Summary:
The Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operations, stability, and security of cloud infrastructure supporting enterprise applications, data platforms, and analytics workloads. This is a hands-on production support role with a strong emphasis on monitoring, incident response, and operational discipline.

Responsibilities:
* Administer and support Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) environments across compute, networking, storage, and identity access management
* Monitor system health, availability, and performance using cloud monitoring and logging tools
* Respond to production incidents, outages, and escalations, including root cause analysis and remediation
* Perform patching, vulnerability remediation, and cloud security hardening activities
* Support cloud-hosted applications, including data and analytics platforms
* Work within established incident management, change control, and escalation processes
* Collaborate with global delivery teams, including onshore and offshore resources
* Create and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and standard procedures
* Support compliance, audit readiness, and security best practices within cloud environments

REQUIREMENTS:
* Hands-on experience administering and monitoring Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) environments
* Strong experience with incident response and production support in cloud environments
* Experience with Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, or equivalent monitoring tools
* Working knowledge of cloud security, including patching, vulnerability management, and remediation
* Strong Linux and shell scripting experience
* Experience using enterprise ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Remedy
* Solid understanding of operational processes, including incident management and change control

Preferred Skills:
* Additional cloud security exposure or certifications
* Experience with Terraform or infrastructure-as-code tools
* Experience supporting Apache NiFi or cloud-based data pipelines

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
