Summary: Razor is seeking a Senior Data Scientist. This 100% remote role involves designing and implementing advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI-driven fraud detection solutions. The position supports criminal investigations, audits, and data-driven decision-making by leveraging modern cloud platforms, statistical modeling, and natural language processing techniques. The role includes collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and focuses on developing scalable, production-ready data solutions.
Education & Certification Requirements: - Master's, Ph.D., or doctorate-level degree in Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field; OR
- 10 years of equivalent applied work experience in the same fields
- Cloud certifications (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform) preferred

Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and maintain advanced AI systems and predictive models (supervised and unsupervised)
- Develop analytic rules and models using fraud analytics tools and best practices
- Build regression, classification, and statistical models to identify anomalies and predictive variables
- Provide data analytics support for fraud and abuse investigations
- Manipulate and analyze datasets using Python, including Pandas
- Operate in cloud-based environments (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform)
- Conduct advanced SQL-based data analysis (SQL Server and PostgreSQL)
- Develop and scale Natural Language Processing (NLP) solutions
- Present findings and methodologies to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Identify trends, patterns, and insights to support decision-making
- Support audits and investigations with advanced analytics
- Apply clustering and causal analysis techniques to identify sub-populations and drivers
- Develop and deploy machine learning models for fraud detection
- Utilize NLP to process and classify large text datasets
- Build dashboards, reports, and storytelling visualizations
- Support data ingestion, transformation, and configuration in cloud data lakes/warehouses
- Create network graphs, interactive maps, and other visualizations for investigation support
- Analyze structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data
- Develop automation and programming techniques to improve efficiency
Qualifications: - 5+ years of experience in AI/ML model development, fraud analytics, and statistical modeling
- 3+ years of experience supporting criminal investigations with data analytics
- 3+ years of Python experience (Pandas required)
- 3+ years working in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform)
- 2+ years of advanced SQL experience (SQL Server and PostgreSQL)
- 2+ years of NLP development and scaling experience
- Proven ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences
Desired Skills: - Experience with fraud detection methodologies and tools
- Strong knowledge of modern data architectures (data lakes, warehouses)
- Expertise in data visualization and storytelling techniques
- Experience working with large-scale and complex datasets
