Works on mid-level problems surrounding the design, planning, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting and optimizing all hardware and software. Works within the global concepts set forth by the company.

responsibilities:
Analyze availability, access (user accounts and
permissions at the LAN and WAN components), and performance issues as found
during monitoring or as reported by customers. Participate in on-call
rotation for after-hours support.

Responsible for the monitoring of the network
components (LAN and WAN) to ensure availability and also test backup,
recovery and emergency procedures.

Coordinate and implement the migrations related to
network components (LAN and WAN), including their infrastructure and
associated software/applications (version, service pack, hotfix releases,
firmware, etc.)

Design, install and configure mid-level network
components (LAN and WAN) following the global concepts. This includes high
availability implementations and complex installs

Participate in global and regional initiatives and
self-checks such as security audits, change management, incident management,
asset management, run and operation tasks.

Practice network (LAN and WAN) asset management,
including maintenance of their component inventory and related documentation
and technical specifications information.

qualifications:
Requirements:
- Technical understanding LAN and WAN technologies, including multiple network operating systems (IOS, HP, OS) topologies (MPLS, Ethernet, Fiberoptics), protocols (TCP/IP, OPSF, BGP), and WAN (Routing, Firewalls, IPsec)
- Working technical experience with installing, configuring, monitoring, troubleshooting and supporting network components (LAN and WAN environment)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills
- Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science/related field, or 8 years of applicable experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
Certifications:
CISCO products, CCIE or equivalent
