Genesis10 is currently seeking a Solutions Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ or Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role involves interfacing directly with customers to identify their needs and collaborating with internal technology teams to design and implement solutions that improve the customer experience. The Solutions Engineer will leverage advanced technology, research best practices, and work to balance project aspects from safety to design, ensuring the successful delivery of initiatives.
Responsibilities: - Work closely with Information Technology professionals to ensure hardware is available for projects and working properly
- Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions including time and scope involved
- Assist other department engineers in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions
- Establish a framework for necessary contributions from various departments and facilitate their collaboration
- Analyze current technologies and develop steps and processes to improve
- Document and monitor requirements needed to institute proposed updates in relation to customer experience
- Work alongside project management teams to successfully monitor progress and implementation of initiatives
- Account for possible project challenges or constraints and proactively seek to manage challenges
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum 7-10 years of hands-on experience in relevant areas, particularly in the financial domain
- 5+ years of hands-on job skills
- Hands-on expertise in creating, using, and debugging Terraform code and configurations
- Experience with DEVOPS/CLOUDOPS, provisioning, and configuration management technologies like Ansible (Playbook and XLR)
- Hands-on system administration expertise on Windows (IIS) and RHEL Operating Systems
- Experience with JAVA Full Stack Development on UNIX & Windows
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and Windows automation
- Knowledge of application containerization (.NET/IIS)
- Understanding of network and hardware architecture
- Knowledge of RDBMS, SQL, and PL/SQL
- Experience working in an AGILE framework
- Excellent communication skills to work with executives and senior leaders
- Ability to work during onshore hours: 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM ET
Desired skills: - Master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
- Project development and leadership experience
- Experience developing IT and cloud infrastructure
- Advanced understanding of business analysis techniques and processes
Pay range: $70.25 - $78.25 per hour
