Job Summary
This position will support Vistra's Wholesale Financial Planning and Analysis team with a focus on the following:

- Driving financial projections, analysis of actual results, and internal / external reporting packages
- Coordinating efforts across multiple stakeholders including Commercial, Operations, Accounting, Risk, and Treasury.

Job Description
Key Accountabilities

Support Wholesale financial performance analysis across multiple lines of business and regional markets throughout the country
Understand interaction of financial drivers and drill into variances to Plan and prior year to find meaningful business impacts
Coordinate with stakeholders to understand and communicate results to business leaders
Assist in coordinating and developing budgets
Drive process improvements
Analyze competitors and energy market dynamics
Review budgets and financial plans submitted by lines of business, and provide constructive feedback to businesses
Solve problems that require constructive thinking and imaginative approaches using data-driven analysis

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics or other analytical field required
3+ years of progressive Finance / Accounting experience gained through work experience and/or a graduate degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting
Experience working with data and ability to query and analyze data in an efficient manner
Strong Excel and PowerPoint technical skills
Working knowledge of key financial, accounting and business metrics

Key Metrics

Recognize dependencies and variables in a model or process
Ability to interface with and resolve issues with multiple stakeholders
Ensures in pursuing the issues and bringing them to resolution
Monitor relevant electricity and natural gas markets and work with team members to establish metrics and presentations for tracking trends
Hold others accountable, maintain deadlines, and ensure a well-organized process with a focus on continuous improvement
Ensure that there are creative controls and validations in financial models, processes, and reports
