Job Title: Sr Epic Application Analyst – Epic ClinDoc Certified
Location: Hybrid – Chicago, IL (95% remote, must be able to provide on-site support occasionally)
Salary: $115,000 – $130,000/year
Position Type: Direct Hire
Overview
We are seeking a Sr Epic Application Analyst – Epic ClinDoc Certified to design, build, modify, and optimize Epic clinical applications while leading mid- to large-scale projects across multiple functional departments. This role ensures optimal clinical and operational performance through complex analysis, development, testing, implementation, and ongoing support of Epic applications.
What You Bring (Ideal Experience)
Bachelor's degree required (Associate degree with 7+ years Epic application experience accepted)
5+ years of Epic application experience
Active Epic certification(s), specifically Epic ClinDoc certification
Strong experience planning and organizing day-to-day activities, managing multiple assignments, and meeting deadlines
Proven experience leading projects and providing expert guidance on change initiatives
Skilled in facilitating meetings between business stakeholders, technical teams, and third parties to define requirements and solutions
Experience working with diverse, multi-disciplinary teams at all organizational levels
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills for both technical and clinical audiences
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technically complex issues involving integrated systems
Preferred: Experience in a hospital or healthcare organization
What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)
Lead and monitor mid- to large-scale projects across multiple functional departments
Perform complex design, build, configuration, upgrades, optimization, and ongoing support for Epic clinical applications
Conduct workflow assessments, capture business requirements, and analyze systems to ensure optimal application utilization
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and end users to achieve application integration that meets clinical needs
Develop and maintain system documentation, specifications, and procedures
Define and document user requirements
Apply project planning and project management methodologies to short-duration and concurrent projects
Develop test plans, prepare test data, and perform system testing
Provide post-implementation training, troubleshooting, maintenance, and on-site user support
Configure vendor applications and products
Audit data entered by end users to ensure accuracy and compliance
Troubleshoot, track, and resolve system issues
Participate in scheduled on-call support
Handle multiple assignments simultaneously and perform additional duties as assigned
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $115K – $130K/year, depending on experience and qualifications
