Overview

Looking for a mission driven NOC/SOC Base Infrastructure Modernization (BIM) Junior-Level Network Engineer with an active DoD Secret Clearance and Security+ certification to join our team at AMERICAN SYSTEMS! You will provide critical engineering and operational support to National Priority programs.

Responsibilities

  • Support Network sustainability at Traux Field ANG Base in Madison, WI to support network modernization efforts.
  • Install, configure, cut over, test, and validate Cisco, Avaya, and Juniper-based network solutions, including routers, switches, and security appliances.
  • Collaborate with base personnel to isolate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex Layer 2/Layer 3 network issues.
  • Ensure full and accurate cutover of mission-critical network functionality.
  • Update engineering documentation, diagrams, and site reports to produce complete and accurate as-built packages.

Qualifications

  • Active DoD Secret security clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
  • Experience supporting network cutover, installation, monitoring, or operational support in a NOC or SOC environment
  • Bachelors Degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma and years of relevant experience
  • Security+ certification required
  • Strong understanding of VLANs, ACLs, IP addressing/DHCP, routing, and enterprise network fundamentals
  • Networking certifications to include at least one of the following: Cisco CCNA, Avaya ASTA, Juniper JNCIA (current).
  • Willingness to support a 24/7 shift rotation environment
  • Willingness to travel when required (CONUS)

Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $80,100.00/Yr. - USD $133,700.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
