Position Overview –

Our team is seeking a skilled Network Engineer with DOCSIS experience to join our dynamic team in Greenwood Village, CO. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing enterprise networks and related hardware and software. This role involves designing and documenting network architecture, assessing existing technologies to identify performance and capacity gaps, and establishing security, connectivity, and access parameters. The Network Engineer will also provide recommendations to optimize network infrastructure, test and tune security devices and systems, and program routers and switches. This position requires a solid understanding of routing protocols, network hardware and software, security technologies, and network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Extensive knowledge on the implementation of high split, low split, and mid split.
• Author highly technical documents such as network design diagrams, implementation guides, and field bulletins.
• Troubleshoot various issues related to lab and operations networks.
• Fluent in resolving bugs, defects, and testing for innovative technology features and enhancements.
• Offer technical guidance to team members and peer engineers.
• Take initiative in learning new platforms to contribute to the evolution of the business.

Requirements:

• DOCSIS – Proficiency in DOCSIS technology and its implementation.
• CMTS – Experience with Cable Modem Termination System (CMTS).
• Cabling – Knowledge of cabling standards and best practices.
• Computer Hardware – Familiarity with various computer hardware components and their integration into network systems.
• Network Design – Ability to design and document network architecture effectively.
• Firewall – Expertise in establishing and managing firewalls and other security measures.
• Routing Protocols – Solid understanding of routing protocols and their application in network environments.
• Routers – Experience in programming and managing routers.
• Telecommunications – Knowledge of telecommunications principles and practices.
• Network Engineer – Proven experience as a Network Engineer with a strong background in network infrastructure.

• EXP regression testing – Experience in regression testing to ensure system stability and performance.
• Lab infrastructure testing – Proficiency in testing and validating lab infrastructure.
• Solid years of engineering experience – Several years of experience in engineering roles, particularly in telecommunications.
• Telecom backgrounds - Cable Labs, Xfinity, Comcast – Background in telecom companies such as Cable Labs, Xfinity, or Comcast is advantageous.
