Senior React JS Developer

Location: Washington, DC  |  Work Arrangement: Remote 

About the Role

Our client is modernizing a large enterprise application to leverage modern digital technologies such as cloud computing, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and mobile — improving the experience for customers and partners while strengthening overall data security and minimizing disruption to existing systems. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior React JS Developer to design, develop, and test using React JS technologies, facilitating application development from development through QA to production.

Role Description

This role will primarily focus on ReactJS programming: integrating designs and wireframes within application code, writing application interface code with JavaScript, translating wireframes and designs into quality code, optimizing components to work seamlessly across browsers and devices, and developing responsive, web-based UI in support of the broader ecosystem. You will gain an understanding of current system infrastructure, security needs, network considerations, and development methodologies.

Responsibilities

•     Write clean, scalable code using ReactJS; refactor and debug code, improve existing software, and test and deploy applications and systems

•     Ensure technologies are updated with current, stable, compliant architecture and applications that meet enterprise standards

•     Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture

•     Develop, test, and deploy applications and systems; develop documentation throughout the development lifecycle and provide technical support to the team

•     Revise, update, refactor, and debug code; improve existing applications and systems

•     Proactively monitor and report performance utilization of assigned technologies

•     Troubleshoot software and/or hardware issues and failures

•     Manage problem or escalated tickets, tasks, and out-of-cycle requests from systems/software owners

•     Determine the best course of action for meeting business needs and provide consultative expertise on how to best use systems

•     Proactively identify broader, more complex issues across multiple integrated, connecting technologies and communicate as appropriate

•     Provide technical knowledge and support to stakeholders and personnel

•     Coordinate the activities of application developers as needed

•     Identify best practices and standards for product use

•     Deliver support and design for applications that require integration with broader systems

•     Interact with executive-level business users and technical experts; may function as a technical subject matter expert (SME)

•     Perform other related duties as assigned

•     Translating wireframes and designs for development — 3 years

•     CSS libraries, Sigma, Adobe XD — 3 years

Education

Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
