Description
We are looking for a skilled Art Director / Designer to join our team on a contract basis, specializing in the education industry. Based in Bloomington, Minnesota, this role offers the opportunity to create visually compelling designs while collaborating closely with writers and other team members. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, adaptability, and a strong portfolio to deliver high-quality work that meets deadlines and aligns with project objectives.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute innovative design concepts that align with project goals and client expectations.
Collaborate with writers and other team members to conceptualize and produce cohesive visual materials.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality standards, deadlines, and budgets are met.
Utilize Adobe Creative Cloud tools, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat, to create designs with attention to detail.
Apply retouching techniques and refine visuals to achieve optimal aesthetics.
Maintain a keen eye for detail and consistency across all design outputs.
Adapt to shifting priorities and provide creative solutions in a dynamic work environment.
Present design ideas and revisions effectively, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders.
Leverage previous agency experience to bring fresh perspectives and industry best practices.
Ensure all designs adhere to branding guidelines and support the overarching communication strategy.
Requirements
5 plus years of experience as an art director or graphic designer in a detail-oriented environment.
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, and other Adobe Creative Cloud tools.
Strong portfolio showcasing exceptional design skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with writers and team members.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
Preferred experience in retouching and working within agency environments.
Solid understanding of design principles and aesthetics.
Flexibility and adaptability to handle evolving project requirements.
