Job Summary
We are looking for a hands-on Senior Systems Administrator with strong experience supporting VMware/ESXi environments, server deployments, PXE booting, Ansible automation, and Python scripting. The ideal candidate should be able to independently troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions with minimal guidance.

This role requires someone who can become productive quickly and confidently handle day-to-day infrastructure operations, troubleshooting, deployments, and automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support VMware vSphere/ESXi environments in enterprise infrastructure.
• Perform hands-on ESXi troubleshooting, configuration, and issue resolution.
• Troubleshoot server, virtualization, boot, deployment, networking, and infrastructure-related issues.
• Analyze logs, system behavior, and errors to identify root cause, rather than simply resolving symptoms.
• Support PXE booting and bare-metal/server provisioning processes.
• Manage and troubleshoot automated server deployment processes.
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Ansible playbooks for infrastructure automation.
• Use Python scripting to automate administrative tasks and support infrastructure operations.
• Diagnose failed deployments and automation jobs and determine why they failed.
• Monitor infrastructure and respond to incidents and operational issues.
• Work independently on assigned technical issues and drive them through resolution.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, application, and engineering teams when issues cross multiple environments.
• Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and operational procedures.
• Participate in production support and other infrastructure activities as required.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on VMware ESXi/vSphere administration and troubleshooting experience.
• Strong Systems Administration background.
• Hands-on experience with PXE booting and server provisioning/deployment.
• Strong experience with Ansible automation and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of Python scripting/automation.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging methodology.
• Ability to analyze logs, errors, and system behavior and identify root cause.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly and directly.
• Ability to become productive quickly in an existing infrastructure environment.

Preferred

• Experience supporting enterprise-scale VMware environments.
• Experience with automated/bare-metal server deployments.
• Experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues across virtualization, servers, networking, and automation.
• Experience working in a production/24x7 support environment.
• Experience creating or enhancing infrastructure automation using Ansible and Python.
