The Impact You Will Have in This Role We are seeking an experienced Lead Infrastructure Services Delivery Engineer to provide technical leadership for the design, delivery, and operational governance of enterprise infrastructure services. This role is responsible for driving service reliability, platform standardization, technical escalations, and cross-functional delivery across endpoint, collaboration, network, identity, and core infrastructure domains, while also leading project planning, milestone coordination, and execution oversight for infrastructure initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong engineering depth with service delivery discipline and practical project management skills, using data, automation, and operational best practices to improve performance, availability, customer experience, and delivery outcomes.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Service Delivery & Engineering:
- Lead technical delivery of infrastructure services, including service transition, operational readiness, architecture alignment, production support models, and project execution from initiation through implementation.
- Define and enforce technical standards, support models, and service level objectives for infrastructure platforms, ensuring consistent delivery across projects and operations.
- Drive platform lifecycle initiatives such as migrations, patching strategy, capacity planning, resiliency improvements, and automation of repeatable operational tasks, while managing timelines, dependencies, and implementation milestones.
- Technical Leadership & Service Governance:
- Act as the senior technical point of coordination across engineering teams, vendors, service owners, and business stakeholders for infrastructure initiatives and major incidents, ensuring alignment on scope, deliverables, and execution plans.
- Govern service review cadences, technical escalations, problem management, and change advisory activities to maintain stability, security, and compliance.
- Translate business demand into technical roadmaps, project plans, delivery milestones, and service improvement initiatives while communicating risks, dependencies, resource needs, and architecture impacts to leadership.
- Reliability, Risk & Operational Excellence:
- Identify infrastructure risks related to availability, capacity, cybersecurity, technical debt, and third-party dependencies, and implement mitigation and remediation plans.
- Ensure infrastructure services meet operational, security, and compliance requirements through documented procedures, configuration standards, and service validation practices.
- Manage changes in scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate control processes.
- Performance Tracking & Reporting:
- Monitor progress against infrastructure service KPIs, delivery milestones, project schedules, and operational commitments.
- Prepare and present reports on service health, project status, risks, budget considerations, and delivery timelines to leadership and stakeholders.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent practical experience
Talent Needed for Success - Proven experience leading infrastructure or technical service delivery initiatives with responsibility for project planning, coordination, and execution.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified associate in project management (CAPM) preferred.
- Working knowledge of project delivery methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Jira, MS Project) in support of infrastructure engineering and service delivery.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have Skills - Experience in risk management, budgeting, and resource planning.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with SDLC and change management processes.
