Job Title: Scala Developer (Backend / Distributed Systems).

Location: Providence, RI (Remote).

Duration: 6+ Months

Job Description:

We are seeking a hands-on Scala Developer to build scalable backend services and distributed data applications in a cloud-native environment.

Required Experience & Skills

5+ years hands-on Scala development (production experience)

Strong understanding of functional programming principles

Experience building distributed systems

Apache Spark (Scala-based development)

Experience with microservices architecture

REST API development

Kafka or other event-driven systems

SQL and/or NoSQL databases

Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)

CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes
