Identity & Access Management (IAM) Engineer – SailPoint IdentityNow

Location: Richardson, TX (5 days onsite)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Identity & Access Management (IAM) Engineer with deep expertise in SailPoint IdentityNow to join our cybersecurity team. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and automating identity governance solutions that strengthen security, improve operational efficiency, and streamline user lifecycle management across enterprise applications.

The ideal candidate has hands-on production experience with SailPoint IdentityNow, including workflow development, SCIM API integrations, connector customization, rule development, and automated provisioning. This is a highly technical role focused on identity automation, access governance, and cloud-based IAM technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions aligned with organizational security standards and best practices.
• Automate identity lifecycle processes and application integrations using SailPoint IdentityNow workflows, SCIM APIs, REST APIs, and custom scripts to reduce manual provisioning efforts.
• Develop and maintain IdentityNow workflows, provisioning logic, connectors, and automation scripts.
• Implement and support access governance processes, including user provisioning, deprovisioning, role management, and access lifecycle controls.
• Configure and maintain Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions to secure and monitor privileged accounts.
• Troubleshoot issues related to identities, authentication, authorization, entitlements, permissions, and access provisioning.
• Develop and maintain API integrations for application onboarding into the enterprise IAM platform.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for workflows, integrations, automation processes, and operational procedures.
• Partner with application owners, infrastructure teams, and security stakeholders to onboard new applications into the IAM ecosystem.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency through scripting and workflow automation.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience implementing and supporting Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.
• Hands-on production experience with SailPoint IdentityNow is required, including:
  • Workflow development
  • Connector customization
  • Rule development
  • Automated provisioning
  • Identity lifecycle management
• Candidates without direct SailPoint IdentityNow experience will not be considered.
• Strong experience implementing SCIM APIs and integrating REST APIs for user provisioning and application onboarding.
• Experience with:

• 2–4 years of scripting experience using PowerShell, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience implementing and supporting:
  • Single Sign-On (SSO)
  • SAML
  • OAuth/OIDC
  • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
  • Privileged Access Management (PAM)
• Experience supporting IAM solutions in cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
