Summary

Key Responsibilities

    • Provide daily field safety support to operations and craft personnel
    • Conduct new hire orientations and site-specific training
    • Perform job site audits, inspections, and safety observations
    • Assist with development and review of:
    • Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) / Task Safety Plans
    • Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSPs), as required
    • Support supervision and project management with incident investigations, including root cause and corrective actions
    • Participate in pre-task planning (PTP) and coordination meetings
    • Ensure compliance with:
    • OSHA regulations (1926 & 1910)
    • Company policies and procedures
    • Client and site-specific safety requirements
    • Work with supervision to implement practical hazard controls
    • Track and report safety metrics, trends, and observations
    • Support exposure awareness related to industry-specific processes (welding, silica, noise, etc.)
    • Reinforce accountability and safety expectations in the field
    • Work within and support the established DSI Safety Program, ensuring consistency across all projects
    • Maintain regular communication with the Senior Safety Manager and Corporate Safety Director
    • Operate as part of a team-driven safety organization, not as an independent program


Qualifications

Required:

    • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification
    • 2+ years of construction or industrial safety experience
    • Working knowledge of OSHA 1926 and 1910 standards
    • Strong communication and field engagement skills
    • Ability to identify hazards and implement practical solutions
    • Able to pass background screens for high profile projects and customers

Preferred:

    • OSHA 500 Certification
    • Certified Health and Safety Technician (CHST)
    • Degree in Occupational Health and Safety
    • Experience in data center or semiconductor environments
    • Background in mechanical, piping, plumbing, or sheet metal scopes
    • Experience supporting large-scale, fast-paced projects
    • Familiarity with incident investigations and industrial hygiene concepts
    • Knowledge of Confined Space, Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO), Scaffolds, Excavation, Cranes and Rigging, Respiratory Protection, and Process Piping and Exhaust Systems


Work Environment

Projects may include:

    • Data Centers
    • Semiconductor / Advanced Manufacturing Facilities
    • Commercial Construction Sites
    • Industrial and Fabrication Environments
    • Service Industry (HVAC/Plumbing)

Work includes active construction zones, mechanical and plumbing installations, and controlled or cleanroom environments.
