Job Summary
The Applications Developer 1 will support the configuration, development, testing, and production support of the FASTDS-VS® COTS application. The resource will work closely with business and technical teams to gather requirements, configure application components, develop enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and support production environments.
Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze application requirements and change requests.
- Configure and maintain the FASTDS-VS® application.
- Perform reference table and application configurations.
- Set up users, roles, and access permissions.
- Develop application enhancements and change requests.
- Develop and maintain scripts and SQL queries.
- Debug and troubleshoot application issues.
- Work with source control and software development tools.
- Perform application testing and defect resolution.
- Prepare implementation and technical specifications.
- Provide production application support.
- Follow coding standards, development methodologies, and best practices.
- Work within both Agile and traditional SDLC methodologies.
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Management Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field.
- 2+ years of SQL database experience
- 2+ years of Object-Oriented development
- Experience with .NET, C#, Java, or VB
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of software development methodologies and coding best practices.
- Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and applications.
