Job Description:
TekStripes is hiring a Tier 2 / Tier 3 Help Desk specialist to provide escalated support and systems programming. Provider Directory environment. You will create and maintain operating systems, communications software, database packages, compilers, assemblers, and utility programs, and develop or modify special purpose software to keep systems efficient and reliable.
As a technical escalation point, you will resolve the complex issues that front-line support cannot and help prevent them from recurring.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Resolve escalated Tier 2 and Tier 3 incidents and service requests across systems and applications.
Create and maintain operating system components, utilities, and communications and database software.
Modify existing software and build special purpose programs to ensure efficiency and integrity between systems and applications.
Diagnose and correct complex technical issues and perform root cause analysis.
Document fixes, procedures, and knowledge base articles, and identify recurring issues for permanent resolution.
Coordinate with development, infrastructure, and vendor teams on cross-system problems.
Support maintenance windows, patching, and configuration changes; build automation that reduces repetitive work.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of systems support or programming experience.
Ability to create and maintain operating system, utility, communications, and database software.
Strong troubleshooting across systems, applications, and integrations.
Experience handling escalated Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical issues.
(no sponsorship); able to obtain a Public Trust if the contract requires it.
NICE TO HAVE
Scripting and automation for systems maintenance, such as PowerShell, Python, or shell scripting.
Experience supporting enterprise or government IT environments and IT service management tools.
Familiarity with directory services, databases, and integration patterns.
