- Early Engagement & DfSC: Lead supply chain integration from requirement definition through manufacturing transfer (Prototypes, EVT, DVT, PVT). Ensure BTP tooling and sourcing strategies are locked in during early engineering phases.
- Cost & Value Engineering: Develop comprehensive Costed Bills of Materials (CBOM). Analyze customer BOMs and lead VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) activities to maximize cost productivity and risk mitigation.
- Supplier Development: Identify and bridge gaps in the Preferred Supplier List (PSL). Coordinate supplier development teams to ensure alignment with time-to-market and technical requirements.
- Technical Consultation: Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to review 2D drawings and 3D models, ensuring that DFx (Design for X) analysis supports optimal source selection.
- Global Quoting & Strategy: Provide critical supplier and product intelligence for the quoting process. Engage in competitive bidding for high-visibility or sensitive parts to introduce healthy tension and market-best pricing.
- Process Improvement: Drive the evolution of DfSC business processes, including the development and implementation of new IT tools and workflow optimizations for the sourcing group.
