Job Summary:

In this contingent resource assignment, the consultant will participate in or lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Software Engineering. The role includes reviewing and analyzing moderately complex engineering challenges, contributing to large-scale planning, and resolving issues that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies, procedures, and compliance requirements. The consultant will collaborate with client personnel across Software Engineering while leveraging solid knowledge of engineering policies and best practices. Required qualifications include 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, with supplier-requested candidates expected to bring 10+ years of core engineering expertise.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Lead and contribute to moderately complex initiatives within the technology domain

Participate in strategy and large-scale planning efforts

Design, code, test, debug, and document software solutions

Support upgrades, deployments, and technical deliverables across programs

Review complex technical challenges requiring deep evaluation of engineering principles

Act as an escalation point and guide less experienced engineers

Collaborate with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical issues

Build and support microservices, REST APIs, and backend services using Java/Spring Boot

Utilize cloud technologies, messaging systems (MQ, Kafka), and NoSQL databases

Apply BDD Cucumber framework practices in development and testing
