Job Description: QA Engineer (Manual & Automation)
Locations: Norfolk, VA | Richmond, VA | Atlanta, GA | Mason, OH | Woodland Hills, CA

Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Testing: Execute manual and automated test cases across web applications and RESTful APIs throughout the SDLC/STLC.
API Validation: Perform thorough API testing using Postman to inspect HTTP/HTTPS requests, JSON payloads, response structures, and status codes.
Automation Frameworks: Design, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium or Playwright.
Defect Management: Identify, document, track, and retest software defects using tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily standups, backlog refinement) alongside Developers, Product Owners, and DevOps.
Database & Quality Verification: Validate backend data integrity using SQL queries and support overall release readiness.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years of dedicated experience in Software Quality Assurance and Testing.
Manual & API Testing: Strong hands-on experience in manual web application testing and REST API testing using Postman.
Automation: Hands-on automation testing experience using Selenium or Playwright.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON formats, HTTP/HTTPS protocols, status codes, and request/response structures.
Tooling & Process: Proficiency with defect/test management tools (JIRA or Azure DevOps) and a solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and STLC/SDLC.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, cross-team collaboration, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
Domain Experience: Prior experience in the Healthcare domain.
Database Querying: Knowledge of SQL for backend testing and data validation.
CI/CD Integration: Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
Scripting: Basic programming/scripting experience in Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
Framework Design: Experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable automated test frameworks following best practices.
