Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler with strong expertise in ERwin Data Modeler to join our team in Cary, NC. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in enterprise data modeling, insurance domain, data warehousing, and SQL databases. This role involves translating complex business requirements into conceptual, logical, and physical data models while collaborating with development teams to ensure scalable and efficient data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into data models.
- Design and maintain Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Data Models using ERwin Data Modeler.
- Partner with development teams to implement enterprise data modeling standards.
- Design efficient and scalable database solutions across multiple SQL platforms.
- Develop and maintain enterprise data modeling standards and best practices.
- Support Data Warehouse initiatives and enterprise data architecture.
- Model data for NoSQL and Azure Cloud database environments.
- Utilize MapReduce programming concepts where applicable.
- Work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Develop deep understanding of Insurance data models and become a Subject Matter Expert.
Required Skills
- 8–12 years of experience in Database Design and Data Modeling.
- Expert-level experience with ERwin Data Modeler (Mandatory).
- Strong expertise in Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Data Modeling.
- Hands-on experience with SQL databases across multiple platforms.
- Strong Insurance domain experience.
- Solid Data Warehouse/Data Warehousing knowledge.
- Experience with MapReduce programming model.
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases and Azure Cloud Data Platforms.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to influence enterprise data modeling standards and collaborate across teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience working within Enterprise Data Architecture teams.
- Knowledge of enterprise data governance and modeling standards.
