We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to support Compliance Technology, specifically focused on the development and maintenance of Compliance applications. The role involves hands?on development, analysis, and ongoing enhancement of Java?based systems that power regulatory surveillance and monitoring functions. The ideal candidate will contribute to both new solution development and maintenance of existing platforms, while collaborating with globally distributed teams in a fast?paced, delivery?driven environment.

responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the design, development, testing, and implementation of Java?based Surveillance applications
- Serve as an individual contributor, completing assigned tasks and deliverables as part of project initiatives and operational support
- Analyze and resolve complex technical problems using in?house tools and frameworks
- Support release coordination activities, including readiness checks and deployment support
- Maintain and enhance existing surveillance programs to meet evolving compliance and regulatory requirements
- Translate business and compliance requirements into well?defined technical solutions
- Create and maintain high?level and low?level technical documentation
- Collaborate effectively with a globally distributed team of associates and contractors
- Adhere to Agile development practices and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
qualifications:
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of hands?on experience in Core Java development
Strong experience with Java front?end technologies and the Spring Framework
Advanced knowledge of at least one Java application server (e.g., WebLogic, WebSphere, Tomcat)
Advanced proficiency with Maven, Git, and Bitbucket
Strong CI/CD pipeline experience with hands?on implementation and maintenance
3+ years of experience with:
Oracle SQL
Unix/Linux shell scripting
Autosys job scheduling
2+ years of experience working in Agile / Scrum development environments
Solid understanding of SDLC, production support, and release management processes
Ability to manage multiple deadline?driven, customer?sensitive tasks simultaneously
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong time management and task prioritization abilities
Proven ability to work effectively in a global, cross?functional development model
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience working on Compliance, Regulatory, or Trade Surveillance systems
Exposure to financial services or capital markets technology
Experience supporting production systems in enterprise environments
Familiarity with audit, regulatory change, and compliance?driven development initiatives
