Excelraise, LLC is seeking a Senior SAP HCM Technical/Functional Consultant for our direct client in Columbia, SC.

The State of South Carolina is seeking an experienced Senior SAP HCM Technical/Functional Consultant to join the South Carolina Enterprise Information System (SCEIS) Human Capital Management (HCM) team. This role involves providing both functional and technical services related to the design, development, testing, and ongoing maintenance of SAP software. The consultant will support the SCEIS HCM team in migrating data from legacy ERP systems into the SCEIS SAP environment, ensuring seamless integration and operation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, review, debug, and unit test the HRIS-to-SCEIS project.
• Code, test, and implement ABAP programs and modifications within SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) modules.
• Create and configure Enterprise Structure, including personnel areas and personnel subareas, and Personnel Structure, including employee groups and employee subgroups.
• Create and configure organizational plans and organizational structures.
• Collaborate with functional and business teams to discuss, design, and build robust and efficient solutions.
• Provide insight and assistance to functional and development teams to support and sustain solutions.
• Work with development team members to maintain and develop coherent, optimized, integrated, and standardized objects.
• Perform data retrieval using SAP tools such as Ad Hoc Query, Report Painter, and SAP tables.
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation according to project methodology.
• Support project milestones and ensure required signoffs are completed according to the project plan.
• Demonstrate experience across WRICEF elements: Workflow, Reports, Interface, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms for SAP ERP HCM.
• Perform LSMW/BDC programming, including session and Call Transaction methods.
• Apply software updates and fixes, including OSS Note research and evaluation.
• Develop and execute unit tests, including test script development.
• Provide after-hours SAP system support as needed.
• Perform data updates using SAP LSMW and EpiUse Data SyncManager (DSM).
• Maintain working knowledge of HR Cluster tables and enhancements for Dynamic Actions.
• Resolve SAP support issues for internal business partners and maintain support logs and technical documentation.
• Work with developers to identify and resolve program issues affecting system performance.
• Provide technical direction to functional teams to help design high-quality solutions.
• Deliver efficient, accurate technical solutions with minimal management supervision.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Bachelor's Degree or 4+ years of equivalent work experience
• 4+ years' HCM Functional experience using SAP in a professional environment.
• Understanding of SAP Portal technology
• Functional knowledge of SAP HCM, Success Factors
• Mail Services in SAP through Standard API
• General understanding of accounting process
• Knowledge of enterprise-level applications including ERP
• 1 + years of SAP Workflow experience
