Environmental Release Manager

Location: New Haven, CT, US

Core Responsibilities

  • Adheres to Client's policy, process and procedures and proactively seeks opportunities to enhance existing ITIL processes (service requests, incident and problem management, change management, etc.). Actively develops and refines process and procedures specific to functional responsibilities and contributes to formulation of operational and tactical plans related to the functions he/she is responsible for.
  • Develops, communicates and coordinates deployment planning. Manages production implementation activities.
  • Plans and coordinates environment changes and collaborates with application programmers during pre-production development and maintenance of applications to plan for production schedules regarding the Ingenium and Life70 Test Environment.
  • Assists the Manager of Environment Scheduling & Mainframe Operationsin managing and supporting technical vendor relations for the functions he/she is responsible for; assists with vendor identification and selection, contract negotiation and statement of work (SOW) reviews.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned/required, including but not limited to: o On-call responsibility for production batch cycle and multiple test regions

  • Enterprise job scheduling: CA Workload Automation ESP Edition
  • Database/query tools i.e. AQT, SQL, WebFOCUS, UFT etc.
  • Programming/scripting languages: Windows CMD, PowerShell, Python, Java, and Go
  • Experience with Microsoft Products: i.e. O365, Office Suite, etc.

Education


Required:

  • BS or BA in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field and/or equivalent combination of experience and training
  • 5- 8 years of IT experience including project management supporting Non-Prod Environments Preferred:
  • ITIL Foundation certificate and experience desired
