Technical writing experience creating playbooks for developers on Cloud (AWS), IaaS, DevSecOps
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Technical Writer to support our internal application development and infrastructure teams. This role will focus on capturing and translating complex technical processes into clear, actionable documentation that enables repeatable success across DevSecOps, IaaS, and cloud transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stakeholder Interviews: Collaborate with internal teams including App Dev, DevSecOps, and IaaS engineers to gather insights and understand workflows, tools, and processes.
- Documentation Development:
- Create and maintain runbooks, ID journey maps, user personas, and story tracking artifacts.
- Document infrastructure workflows including instance lifecycle management (e.g., spinning down resources).
- Develop rinse-and-repeat playbooks for infrastructure productization to guide application development teams.
- Process Mapping: Define and document end-to-end workflows, capabilities, and operational procedures for infrastructure transformation and cloud migration.
- Knowledge Management: Ensure documentation is structured, accessible, and aligned with organizational standards for technical content.
Required Technical Knowledge:
- Operating Systems: Linux and Windows environments
- Storage Systems: Understanding of enterprise storage architecture and management
- Containerization: Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies
- Cloud & Infrastructure Transformation: Experience documenting lift-and-shift strategies and productization of infrastructure services
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Technical Writer in a technical or infrastructure-focused environment
- Strong interviewing and information-gathering skills
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise documentation
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and story tracking tools (e.g., Jira)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with documentation tools such as Confluence, Markdown, or similar platforms
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in DevOps or cloud-native environments
- Understanding of identity and access management (IAM) concepts
- Background in infrastructure automation or cloud operations
